Default Scam Prevention, Tips, and Information

Before Conducting Transactions:

•The most important thing in online transactions is to be smart. Sometimes a deal is just to good to be true, think before you act.
• Always get Phone Numbers and try to only deal with people over Eighteen years of age. If dealing with a minor, it may be best to contact their parents and be sure it's ok with them before moving on with the transaction.
• Be sure to get everything in writing so both sides knows what is coming out of the deal. Take your time doing this so there are no mistake later.
• Most times it's best to get several pictures of the items from different angles, and if you want to see something in the picture, be sure to request it. Be careful when the seller shows stock pictures.
• All shipping providers now have Delivery Confirmation, it's a good investment, and you can use it to protect yourself in the future.
Third Party Trades! Contact myself or another moderator who might be willing to act as a Third Party. This way you can be sure you do not get scammed, and that everyone is going to get what they want out of the deal.
• Save Instant Messanger conversations, Emails and Private Messages. It might be also help to save Screenshots, but all of this can be easily altered.
• Never send Cash.

When Scammed:
• Call the Person and see what's up. Stay calm, there may be a real explanation.
• With their phone number, you can easily get their address, however you should have it already. Call their local Police Department, most will not have a problem with making a visit to their house to talk to them.
