I think most people on this board are too young to appreciate Michael Jackson. Hence all the callous jokes.
In my opinion, his death isn't any more or less important than anyone else's death, as we are all human and we will all eventually die. But disrespecting a person after they've passed away is low, immature, and frankly appallingly vile. I'm disappointed in many of you. Last edited by spastic_koala; 06-26-2009 at 10:01 AM. |

I think it's ****ed up that people can't appreciate what he did and sit there and talk about how he apparently was a child molester (never convicted), was once black, and was on drugs. People act like he's the only person in Hollywood that had issues when actually, a lot of people in Hollywood don't have their heads on straight.
He was the man. Could dance like no other. It's just sad. Apparently his rehearsals for the upcoming tour he was going to do were going very well. |

Perez Hilton insensitive to Michael Jackson tragedy? – pics - Ear Sucker Make sure you read the bottom!! I hope the whole world sees this so they can see how much useless, heartless, crappy person he really is. |

Really it's these heartless jokes that are getting my blood boiling. And it's not because their jokes on Michael Jackson. It's because they're jokes at the expense of a person who has recently passed away. It's disgusting. |

I didn't like any of his music and I didn't really care for him as a person, so why would I be sad he died? I don't believe in being sad over the death of a person that not only did I not know personally, but also someone who I did not like anything he did in his life.

I disagree. He's entitled to his opinion. It's fine if he doesn't approve of what Michael has accomplished in his life or like him as a person (although having never met him, I'm not sure how you can determine that you wouldn't like him as a person). But if these are his feelings, then his posting in this thread is unnecessary.
Even if you don't like him, you should respect the fact that he has had quite an impact, but more importantly you should respect the fact that he has now passed and not speak unnecessarily cruelly of him. Or maybe it's cool to do all that cause you're a cool dude on the internet. |

What happens if you don't spend time mourning anyone? That could lead to a pretty pitiful life. |
