I just got a job there. I went to the "group interview" today. I was the only one there and everyone was really chill. They told me I got the job on the spot right after they asked me those "in depth" interview questions, which they appeared to care so much about.

haha.. it seems like really a fun job. I start this weekend.

LOL. You make working at Hollister sound like tough labor. Seriously. How hard is it to just refold somthing or spritz a little Fierce every so often.

maybe during the day, but when you're a closer you're responsible for making the store look perfect for the next morning. that's a little stressful. just like jwmnbl987 said, try closing during the holiday season when ppl come in and DESTROY the store so johnny and susie can get what they want.

Yea seriously. I wasn't really talking about closing because we're lucky enough to have overnighters. But Aberkid or whatever should try working cashwrap this time of year, with lines going well into the front rooms, then some mom is trying to bitch about how she found this shirt on the 9.90 table or how I can't give her cash back because she's trying to return an item that was an exchange.

do most people ask for applications or are they recruited?? also, if you decked out in anf or ruehl does that make it any better/worse than regular clothes?

most people in all reality ask for an application and then shown to the kiosk. But there are also a handful of people recruited. I knew someone who worked at the hollister near me and thats how i got the job...thats recruited lol.

And wearing AnF/HCo/Ruehl clothes show that you actually want the job....No showing up shows you want the job. Wearing the clothes show you like to represent the brand and love the clothing. It's just your personality that really has to shine.

Actually, getting a job because of knowing someone is not actually being recruited.

Indeed, most people do apply at the kiosks. About 60% of those who apply at the Kiosk most likely get a job. Many of them are put as an Impact Team Member unless otherwise.

Then there is the recruitment part. When a member of managment approaches someone because of their image and style and offers them a position at the store. About 90% of those who are recruited get a job. Many of those who are recruited are often put as a Model but there are times Impact Team Members have been recruited as well.

When you attend a group interview. It's nice that you do dress up in A&F co clothes but it also does justice if you just have style. When I was recruited and then went in for my group interview, I dressed up in AE Khakis, Oxfords, a Burgandy polo from A&F. NO RUEHL WHATSOEVER. Then what happened? Hired on the spot as a Model. Personality wins all.

New member here, just sort of stumbled across this site. I've been an A.M at one of the boston area hollisters (anyone else who works for the company can figure out which one) since November now. Prior to that i was a model at A&F while i was in college. Any other managers here?
