does anyone have an idea of when it might open? my family will be vacationing in miami in july and i want to make sure i can shop at gilly while i'm there since i dont live near one. beginning of the month? middle? end? any info would be much appreciated! thanks!

Opened today as did Hollister at Aventura...so now Aventura has every single concept! Such a sweet store...the styling of the center room where the body products are kind of reminds me of anthropologie! The store was busy too.. my friend bought some stuff and there was a decent size line... went in to the new Hollister too and it was packed!! The Cashwrap line was all the way into dudes 1 so I didnt even look too much cuz I wasnt waiting on that line!

they were giving these out at Ruehl too.. nice to see them promoting the band and finally acknowledging they are all linked together

call me stupid, unobservent, or whatever, but I just noticed for the first time that A&F uses the same font for Hollister and Ruehl. HOW original. (much like the clothing)

tsk...hollister's edges are rounded and RUEHL's are not. RUEHL's letters are a tiny bit fatter and are closer together.

its just like a thick piece of paper that was stuck inside the gilly booklet...the back is blank

so i was there opening day (which was actually saturday the 19th) and i thought it was amazingggg but i have 2 little criticisms that maybe someone can shed light on.

first, there were WAY too many sales girls (one in every room). it was a little annoying to be honest...i felt like i was being watched (which goes against the idea of it being dark and private). plus there is no need to be greeted every time you enter a room...once at the front of the store would have been fine!

my other little issue was that the merchandise was not really varied. i'm wondering if they didnt get in their full stock? there were no boxers or cotton/poplin/linen type sleep pants. what about socks or robes or crap like that? also, i'd say that nothing in the store had a print on it-- no floral, no plaid, no koalas, nothing! i know, obviously, that AF is big on stripes and solids, but 10 rooms of it seemed like overkill..are the other stores this way too?

Let's hope Gilly keeps doing black lingerie- a girl can never have too much black underwear. Lord knows that's true for me!

^^ did u look at the round table that's in front of the bra library because that's where the black underwear was? I do a agree there is way way too many rooms, they should have different tiers like A&F

i swear i didnt see black. a few times i thought i did so i held it near a light and it was always navy. but who knows, its possible i missed something

there is navy and then there is black
these aren't from the actual store these came from the A&f outlet, but they did have black undies in the front of the bra gallery, maybe they are gone since someone said that they were just going to have for a short time then it would be gone.
