Default Gilly Hicks Bras

This one's for the ladies who work and shop at Gilly Hicks- I have three bras at Gilly that I want to get: the Zoe (a lacy balconet with no padding), the Blake (a satiny balconet with a little padding), and the Bailey (a satiny plunge push-up). Which one of the three do you guys recommend and why? Any other bras you recommend?

i dont know which one the zoe is... but i'd highly recommend the jordan (balconet with removable padding). most of my coworkers and i got it as our triple A and wear it to work all the time. the blake is pretty similar to the jordan, but with less and non-removable padding.

i love the bailey too, if i'm thinking of the right bra (plunge / polished push up?) but just check out the one that you're going to purchase before you actually do because i find that a lot of them have little pulls in the delicate fabric.

i'd also suggest the heather, which is a plunge bra.. i have it in two colors and absolutely love it.

the kiley, which is a lightly lined demi bra, was our best-selling one for a while, although it's not my favorite (i prefer slightly padded haha), but you might wanna check that one out as well.

good luck, hope this sorta helps

Thanks for the advice, juliewithlove!

FYI, the Zoe is a lacy balconet without padding- I was in there with a friend of mine and she thought I'd look cute in it, but I (like you) prefer some padding.

You're right about the Bailey- it is the plunge/polished push up. When I bought my Blake bra, I actually asked the salesgirl to bring me a different one in the color I wanted because there were so many pulls in the fabric, so I definitely agree there.

I have a huge thing for shiny and/or satiny bras- all my bras fall into one or both of those categories- Are the Jordan, Heather, and Kiley bras all polished?

actually none of them are the "polished" texture - the jordan is what i believe they refer to as "smooth" (i can't think exactly what type of material it is), the heather is like a mesh type with a lace back, and the kiley is cotton. i'm also obsessed with the sloane, which is the strapless push up and also polished.. it fits so perfectly!

The Sloane sounds interesting! I would guess that "smooth" might be a microfiber of some sort. I seem to remember a polished demi bra without padding as welll.... Do you remember what that one is called?

yeah, we get one free bra when we're hired, but not all of the bras (such as the polished ones) are included.

i'll check out the polished demi you're talking about tomorrow while i'm working and let you know !

Thanks, Julie! I also appreciate the info about the perfume! BTW, which Gilly do you work at? You sound like a terrific salesperson!

Thanks yet again julie! I work in retail myself (though not at an A&F brand), and I would definitely agree that when you work around the same products day in and day out, you get to know them pretty well.

That's rather unfortunate for me that you work in New York, because I'm in Minnesota. Oh well.

What do you think of the Zoe bra (check my revised thread starter for info on it)? Does it sell well? Do any of your coworkers like that one?

The jordan sounds nice.

When you get it take a picture with you wearing it and post...you know...so we can see if it fits well.

Sorry Cactus, but I don't think I'll be posting a pic of me modeling any bra, much less the Jordan. My girlfriend tends to get a bit jealous. Aside from pics of girls in their bras, do you have any advice or thoughts on this one?

FYI, I am a lesbian woman- just so you don't get the wrong idea about my last reply, Cactus.

Nah, it's cool.... I guess I should've mentioned which gender I am earlier. No big deal.

I'm not too sure about the Zoe - it's definitely nice, but I can't tell you if customers have been buying it. I haven't heard of any of my coworkers purchasing it (and I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be one of our AAA's). In my opinion, it's more of a "pretty" bra than an everyday bra.. but again that's just my opinion and I've never actually tried it on if you do, let me know how it works out!

Heh, k. Well...i have nothing to offer as far as an opinion. To me...bras are bras. Why not just ask your girlfriend which one she likes since she'll be the one seeing you with it on? You'll probably get an actual answer seeing how you're with a woman and not a guy who in the end just wants to see you naked. =)

Okay, good to know, Cactus. The reason I haven't asked my girlfriend is that me buying this bra is going to be a sexy surprise for her- and I know her well enough to know how she'll answer anyway.

Any thoughts about this from some more LADIES?

Julie, thanks again for all the great advice and information. You've been a huge help. In light of my previous reply to Cactus's post, the Zoe bra is a great one for what I've got in mind. If I buy it, I will definitely tell you what I think of it.
