im just wondering if we get new outfits for spring/summer. no one has said anything about them. the weather's getting warm so there's got to be something to wear for the summer. if possible, what do they look like?
and also i'm just concerned about my hours. w/e i tell one of the managers to put me on for that certain weekend, i most of the time get scheduled as a call in and when i call in, they said that they don't need me. that just pisses me off b/c i need hours really bad and need the money u know. i know they're hiring more and more people so it makes it harder for the employees that were there before the new ones to get hours and everything. what should i do or say? i love working here at gilly, but the way that they schedule people sucks. |

that's what the stores do, they keep hiring so part-timers only work around 10 hours a week and they keep "fresh faces" in the stores. the best advice i can give you if you have a problem with your hours is to find a 2nd job. you shouldnt depend on Gilly for money anyways it's not like they pay well |

yea, ezra is completely right. They want to keep fresh faces.. The company would love to pay 1000 different people a little money.. rather than one person lots of money so they keep on hiring people and giving them little hours. It IS a part-time position so 10-20 hours is normal.

MOA Gilly doesn't have enough employees so that's why you're called in on call-ins. I remember trying to hint that i didn't want too many hours per week and they always ended up scheduling me as much as they could within my shrinking availability.
it sucked cuz i hated working with the overnight manager!! |

hey guys, to anyone who works at the westfarms mall gilly hicks (which is the one i work at): if anyone wants me to get their hours covered or anything, just let me know b/c i am looking for hours and i have so many call-ins now. just message me or something to get ahold of me or send me an aim (amy2003559)

in smithhaven, it's in the "harbor 3" room - which is on the right side when you enter the store, three rooms back.

the interview process is basically a group interview. u sit around with a few others who are applying for gilly and the manager asks a bunch of questions relating to u and customer service and all that. i think that there's a good chance that you would get the job, depending on how well you answered the questions and everything. are you going to be a model or impact? which store are u planning to work at?
