Gilly Hicks


Gilly Hicks is an upcoming upscale and moderately priced Underwear brand from American lifestyle brand and company Abercrombie & Fitch Co. The brand will become the fifth from the company, and was initially known as Concept 5. Steeped in an Australian theme, Gilly Hick's will offer women's underwear.

The company has launched the brand's official homepage, which featured a promotional backdrop, similar to Ruehl No.925's original webpage when it was first launched. The current web-setup features an under-age-restricted promotional video, featuring a large assortment of topless women parading around the beach and home, as well as swimming, in panties. Scenes of naked men are scattered around the video as well. You have to be at least eighteen to view the video. Also on the website is a list of stores that plan to open in January. Whether the brand will open an official online store is still left to speculation.

Seven stores are rumored to open January 2008 , the first being in the new ultra high-end wing at the Natick Collection outside of Boston, Massachusetts. Another store will be opening at Aventura Mall in Aventura, Florida (along with a RUEHL No.925). The Natick Collection and Aventura Mall will be the only 2 places in the world where all five Abercrombie & Fitch concepts are in the same location for the time being. One is also opening at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota. It will be located on the second level, West side, between Tommy Bahama and Hanna Anderson, a short distance from the Abercrombie & Fitch store. *I visited Abercrombie and Fitch at the Mall of America on Friday, January 4th, 2008 and they said Gilly Hicks would open in about a month, so I am assuming it will open sometime at the end of January or begginning of February. Note this was for the Mall of America location.* A store will also be opened at the Fox Valley Mall on the second floor. The official website for Gilly Hick's offers a store list. There are only five stores listed, however.

The following is a list of the confirmed future locations of Gilly Hicks: Sydney:

* Natick Collection / Natick, Massachusetts
* Smith Haven Mall / Lake Grove, New York
* Fox Valley / Aurora, Illinois
* Mall of America / Bloomington, Minnesota
* Westfarms / Farmington, Connecticut

It appears that they are going to use 1932 as the year of establishment.


The store may sell "downunderwear" / "downundies" and will have a "bra library."

hahaa. randomly, hollister started making boxer briefs... and trunks... so imo they are NOT going to be lingere.

Why doesn't A&F and Hollister make underwear for girls anymore? Does anybody know? Seriously.
