Default Your Fragrance Collection

I'm pretty bored right now and went a lil camera happy on some stuff, one of them being my bookcase with my cologne. so i figure why not have a thread on people's fragrance collection. oh well.

shown: abercrombie woods, abercrombie fierce, burberry for men, some weird 273 thing i have no idea, 2 halston fragrances, and some random miniatures - polo sport, lacoste essentials, and some bulgaris. my polo black and other bottle of fierce are in my car, but whatev. my favs of these have to be the woods and the burberry. it pisses me off that i had a full smaller bottle of woods but i left it in north carolina. after that it was discontinued. anf signature and fierce were pretty good, but woods was sweet. burberrys also awesome.

if you can, try both Dior Homme and the trio of Dior men's colognes from slimane, which you can find at the DH boutiques, barney's, and i know jefrrey new york has them too

My collection is:

ANF: Fierce, Ezra, Woods (one mostly full plus one empty .65 oz-er), 41 (gotten pretty sick of it though...)

Ruehl: Signature (just bought online, should be here in a couple days)

Lacoste: Booster (aftershave + cologne x 2, the first one is almost gone, so I just bought the 2nd one)

Chanel: Platinum Egoiste (one large size bottle, plus 4 or 5 mini bottles)

I think I have one more but I can't remember what... I have too much ANF cologne and it's kind of embarrassing to wear it to be perfectly honest since everyone wears it and it just seems super unoriginal...

I don't see much of a point in owning more then 2 or 3 colognes. Obviously you're going to have a favorite that you used most of the time and the majority of the others just sit there on the counter rarely being used. Besides, I like being associated with a specific smell as opposed to having a different scent every single day. Having a dozen or more colognes seems like bragging rights more then anything. I personally own and use 3. BKE, BKE Blue, and ReClaim. All are Buckle exclusive and I switch between BKE Blue (spicy scent) and ReClaim (sweet scent) every other day. I use the normal BKE for work usually because its more a laid back subtle smell.

I'm about to put Polo Blue and YSL l'Homme into regular rotation. I used to wear Fierce all the time but I'm getting over my Abercrombie & Fitch Co. phase so I'm REALLY tired of Fierce now... I think I may get Colden though... I kinda like it... I guess I'll try and snag a bottle of Ruehl Signature since everyone claims it's so good...

^^ my gf and others have given rave reviews about YSl, but it smells like piss to me. its that overly potent putrid type smell. it could just be my nose or my skin, ionno. its the same thing with ezra, metal jeans, ed hardy love and luck too-- I smell them all as somewhat putrid/gross, yet they intrigue me at the same time. --needless to say, i do not wear those colognes much and prefer the more solid candy/fresh scents out there.

I was going to buy colden when it frist came out, but i thought it too unorigional. The womens wakely perfume is great though--i know a girl who would wear it and it smells like red lick-a-color popsicles.

Ruehl is closing: what will happen to their signature scent????
-in order to be safe ive planned to get a bottle or two for christmas :/ id hate to lose track of that scent. many memories~

what are your guys thoughts on polo blue? are there any scents you would say are similar, but prefer over Polo Blue?

lately I have been wearing Fahrenheit Summer. its super masculine, always there and is not too cloying. I hear the regular fahrenheit is waay more powerful-- prolly would not be for me.

does anyone like Polo by Ralph Lauren (green bottle). I really liked the original, but it seemed no one else was tickled by that fancy. I have been meaning to test out the new modern reserve--which suposedly smells less of pine.

my bottle of Hugo Boss: Boss in Motion (silver orb with orange stripe) is almost gone-- its become hard to find too! theres a brand new white version out now, anyone try that?

I almost bought this, but decided to test it out on my arm before I put down for it. After a while I began to feel like I'd smelled this stuff before... and I realized that it smells like the LIBRARY, or specifically, OLD PAPER.

GF didn't like it either, so I decided against it.

Another one that the GF didn't like, but I'm thinking about trying out a small bottle anyway. I didn't like the tobacco at first, but it's growing on me.
