I like the outfit (perhaps a little bit more with a brown belt), and I agree completely with this. I think that it's laughable for people to say that they won't wear A&F with ties or in a dressy manner because "there's a moose on the shirt!", yet turn around and go giddy for shirts from Polo which also feature a relatively conspicuous logo.

I guess I would consider anything from ANF to be very casual, but my see something from PRL as a little dressier. But most people wouldn't care, or notice the difference. That said, I would go with a brown belt...the greens clash, and the drivers over the oxfords.

That's what I was thinking, but I was trying to work it in somewhere. Brown would work best though.

I agree on the drivers, but I would wear a white undershirt, like a BR fitted crew.

i'm not gonna say A&F shouldn't be worn with JCrew.. but i will say (agree with Bri).. i think your belt should be brown leather if you're gonna wear brown shoes.. and like TNF said.. you should wear a white crewneck.

^TFN do you like the Nye Mountain shorts more than the Forked Lakes? Just asking because you put that Nye Mountain in your outfit choice.

The Nye Mountains aren't faded or destroyed like the Forked Lakes are.

I like the Nye Mountains more than the Forked Lakes, yes. But there isn't a pair of olive faorked Lakes anyway. And those aren't really the Nye Mountains. That pair is listed as Nye Mt. on the website, but the pic is of last year's Classic Corps Cargo shorts. I have a pair of olive Nye Mountains, though. They're made exactly like the other colors listed.

Actually, most of them are faded and/or somewhat destroyed.

But the Nye Mountain shorts aren't low rise, that's the reason why I prefer Forked Lakes.

No, they're definitely low-rise. I can post pics if you want. Are you going by a pair you ordered online?—because they might have sent you some older shorts. All of the shorts produced for '07 have been low-rise.

^Hmm... I got them wrong then, I always thought that the Nye Mountain shorts are classic fit. I've never really picked up a pair and looked closely.

They have the same exact waist design as the plaid shorts.

I can't decide if I would rather go with white Van's Slip Ons or these:

And with the hoodie, I would get the one from H&M instead. It's basically the same thing, but without the branding and fading. Or if Ruehl has a similar hoodie (thin stripes), then that one instead.

I'd say the Vans for sure. That would look pretty good.

Similar to the Panther Mt. half-zip and the new fleece HH's.
It's short and not too bulky.

No prob. And by bulky, I meant in the midsection, which is where most of them are too bulky.

Is the lettering on that tee navy. I had originally thought so, but looking at it now...I'm not so sure.
