ok, this is gonna sound really random after like 2 weeks of no activity on this thread but...

I bought some light nondestroyed baxters about a month ago and I've worn them probably 3-4 times but I recently noticed two little holes (not like see-through holes, but small pea-sized ones with the threads going across) around the crotch area...proof area if you will. Anyways, when I wear them I get all freaked out that I'm gonna spread my legs too far and have a huge blown-out crotch crotch hole. I'm pretty sure they were there when I bought them, i just never noticed them at the time. But has anyone else experienced a similar situation with their ANF jeans? I've bought destroyed jeans before, but it doesn't bother me because they are supossed to be there, but these were nondestroyed ones, so I don't know if it was a defect or not. But do you guys know if this is common? Sorry I couldn't post a pic instead of this long and boring paragraph, but my camera battery is dead and I can't get the charger to work.

i just bought a pair of the baxters that are nondestroyed, and they only have 2 rips in the "proof" pocket... mind you, the coin pocket... or the 5th pocket..

even the non destroyed jeans are distressed a bit, which causes wear to the jeans. once you wear and wash them a few times the hole will increase, even if it was once just a small nick or something.

It's always a good idea to wash your denim inside out, so that you reduce the amount of wear on the outside. Also, it's a bad idea to wash anything else with denim, since it's so rough on the rest of your clothes.

This is obvious to probably 90% of you on here... but I only just learned this last month. No wonder all of my shirts were getting ruined when I packed them in with my jeans.

i remember i bought a pair of saranacs once and these tiny dark blue ink paint splatters on the back spelled out "sex." and i dont think it was on purpose. i shouldve kept them. instead i returned them for crappy baxters. but the baxters cut of my circulation so i returned them. and i think i bought some shorts and wasted my money on a tee.

how tight around the thigh are the porters? i have rather large thighs and don't quite understand what straight means. is it tighter the whole way down? it's not a slim fit, is it?

no they're not tight. its not as tight as say the kilburns, but a better fit than the saranacs in my opinion. the straight leg part just means exactly that, there is no "boot" opening at the bottom, just a straight leg all the way down, but not tapered.

How come the jeans have a blue-ish shade on the website? But then after buying them online and seeing them on delivery, they have this greenish shade.

The website's colors are notoriously inaccurate on certain items. Jeans are a big offender.

I just went to my AF tonight and they have entire wall of coldens there, does anyone even buy them anymore? There were also some porter vintage mixed in. I was thinking about picking up a pair or two, but I have an athletic build, does anyone here know if they would fit well?

Porters and even coldens(size down) might fit you OK if you're an athletic build. Try them on.

hmm...I wear a 31 in Levis, but a 29 in diesel, so its hard to tell what size he is exactly. My baxters are a 30 though. So I guess try some 32s for him. All jeans fit differently though.

coldens = bad. saggy. baggy. they're just not very attractive.
porters are a lot better. especially if you have muscular legs.

haha, i just think its hilarious you had an AF with two discontinued jeans on the walls and you come home and go online and ask how they fit lol
