the wash on the anitas looks pretty good but yeah you have to be a skinny ass girl to pull them off. and is it me or have the button flys on jeans gotten better? on my older jeans it was such a pain to button them up, i mean they did break in over time and all but now when I buy them new they button really easily like they should. this is important for us people that drink lots of water each day haha

Some more info on jeans:
Womens' best seller is madison cut, in light destroyed...at least at my location. Men's best seller varies...Saranac is most comfortable, because its the widest leg. My girlfriend loves me to wear kilburns, because she says they look best on me. Baxters is what some at work prefer to wear, but I'm sorta muscular everywhere, so they're tight on me. Being that my gf loves kilburns on me, you'll usually see me in those. |

hi,
im new on here (as u might see)... ive been reading in the forum for quite a while now... found some good information so far.... now my question: i was gonna buy the Porter Vintage Straight of the anf website bc it would be quite a long way to the next anf store (im living in germany).... but ive been buying lots of anf and hco stuff last year when i was in the us for a so called high school year.... it was great (the year and the shopping at hco and anf, mosty hco though) does anybody on here own the Porter Vintage Straight (i guess the destroyed one fits the same) in size 28/30 or 28/32? could u give me the measurements of the jeans (like hip and length) bc im not quite sure which size to get? that would be great... thanks |

btw welcome as for porters, I don't think they carry 28's they start from 30X30 and so on. |

They have porters in 28 x 30 and 28 x 32.
I'm 5'7" (170 cm) and 125 ish lbs. (57 kg) and the 28 x 30 fit me well. How tall are you? Also they arent lowrise, so I think 28 x 31 for me (if they had it) would be better. Welcome to TS!

thanks so far...
I'm like 5'8'' (175 cm).... My weight is about 140 lbs (64 kg)... I'm wearing hco jeans from one or two years ago in size 30x30 (quite loose fit around the hip). The hco jeans measure like 41 cm (16'') one way at the hip.... idk but i think im gonna try the ones in size 28/32... |

ykl, I'm so glad I listened to you on this. I thought the 32x32 Kilburns were too tight at first but after wearing them for a single day they stretched out to fit perfectly.
What gives? I've been wearing A&F jeans for a few years now, and none of my other jeans ever stretched as much as these do. Not even the Kilburns I got last year. I even have a pair of cheap GAP jeans (shhhh... don't tell anyone on this forum) and it doesn't stretch nearly as much. Has the stretch of the denim been increasing or am I just noticing this now? And doesn't this seem like a quality issue? |

I know there has been a lot said about this, that even chubby girls can pull skinnies off if they have the right top, blah, blah... I think skinny jeans are for slim (not to say skinny) people. And that's about it. If you're over a size 4, really, skip them. Boot cuts will definitely make you more justice.
I don't know about guys sizes, but I guess it happens the same way. Skinny jeans for skinny people, people! Last edited by perkyprettypink; 09-24-2006 at 12:07 AM. |

I'M SAD.....skinny jeans for girls that is...is just a trend. For guys, jeans are getting slimmer, so skinny/slim straight jeans will stay. But for girls...to give you a heads up...SPRING/SUMMER AND FALL 2007 will be about the Boyfriend Fit.

What about the Ezra Fitch jeans??
I've got a pair of those (from the kids line, but there are A&F Ezra Fitch's), and I love them. they are by far my favourite pair of jeans - my other jeans being Ruehl Greenwich and A&F Saranac (2 pairs of saranac, one of them destroyed). I work at A&F and my coworkers have asked me about my jeans. Unfortunately for them, abercrombie (kids) isnt in canada yet, and Ezra Fitch jeans are no longer on the sales floor. The Ezra Fitch jeans have also been noticed when i was at sumer camp. Anyways, if it's not too much trouble, I'd like Ezra Fitch's to be part of the denim guide. |

I for one, don't care if the skinny jeans are a trend or not. Okay, maybe I wouldn't even have been able to buy them if they hadn't become a trend, but really, right now I don't care if they're a stupid trend or not, I'll keep on wearing them because they look much better on me than any flared ones.
