My friend just bought this for me and I've never owned any A&F polo's before. What do you think about the fit? Do I need one size up? I feel the shoulder is rather tight but the waist and body feels fine.

I usually wear a L for Polo Ralph Lauren and this is already an XL, not sure if it's normal to go 2 sizes up for A&F stuff. Enjoy the pics.

I was going to say it fits a little too loose and the length is fine.

fits fine. chest and arms are good. Torso seems a little loose. it's all about how tight you like it.

wow.... certainly mixed opinions here. I don't know... I wear the Ralph Lauren tailored fit polo shirt size L and that fits me just fine. Shoulders are just snug but not too tight, however, I'd really like to get some Ruehl Baxter polos because of its vintage wash which is not available from Ralph Lauren.

that's your size. not gunna get a better fit sizing up or down.

but btw, for future reference: if you're trying on clothes at the store, i'd suggest grabing 2 or 3 of the same item in the same size and comparing them, because sizing is really inconsistent at a&f... just a thought.

i say the torso is a bit loose, but you cant really size down because of the width of your shoulders. idk, looks fine but i like my stuff to fit really snug.

Probably as good as you're going to get. Going a size in either direction won't look good.

I would say try out the xxl. Yea the shirt is loose in the mid section, but it looks like it the armholes are so snug they'll leave a mark. That isn't good. besides the jump from xl to xxl isn't a huge difference so it may give the fit you'd want.

i would DEFINITELY not go a size bigger. like previously stated, the question is can you get away with a size SMALLER.

yeah, I've tried on just a L but it's like... completely hugging my body. I dont' know... I don't want to see out w/ like wearing spandex top.

Definitely don't go larger. That would look idiotic.
