Yeah that's exactly it, as you and YJGF implied in your responses. Oh, and YJGF, same thing happened with me in an effect, they pulled me aside and just said you got the job, show up on sunday at 9 if you want it, and wear the brand to orientation.

milo has a call in on friday and is scheduled 6-10 on saturday.

plain and simple. i don't get what's so hard to understand and confusing about it. there's no need to talk to a manager. all they'll do is say, "you're scheduled 6-10 on saturday, the printer/computer must have just printed off saturday 4 times by accident'. just show up for your 6-10 on saturday.
^^ haha well thx for clearing that up. i just asked about it b/c i was worried that it might be a call-in rather than an actual shift and if they had not needed u...well making that trip on a friday night when i could be elsewhere woulda sucked hard

but he pulled me aside after everyone left (there was 3 other people interviewing plus me) and said, "actually, save me a phone call. i liked you, just come to orientation on sunday at 9am. we'll do paperwork and all that. see you then."

that was November of 04 and i was with the company till December 07.
Ok cool, but whats orientation?

If you like boys or girls.

It's where everyone who's hired is taught basic skills, how things work, what they should be doing, etc. It's job training pretty much.

Haha. Now that I look back at how much I worked, I can't believe it. I didn't have a life.

Once I started working 1 day a week, I couldn't wait for it to get done. I guess I stopped working because all the awesome managers left.

This is from Christmas '06. As you can tell, my managers gave me as many hours as I wanted.

I made it a negative picture so it would be easier to read, the original is too bright.

^What requires you to come in at six AM on a monday?
I understand that schedule came around christmas time, but don't the closers fix the store before they leave?

I'm pretty sure our DM and RM would sh!t a brick if an associate got 60+ hours in a week. I've gotten than many before but that was when under an older DM that didn't care and our RM didn't really know what he was doing/didn't care.

So, like they get nervous when someone gets too many hours.

village..just go for the interview. They ask questions such as: Name a situation where you worked very well with another person, Name a situation where you worked beyond to meet a goal and What is your definition of diversity and is it important to have at work.

Well they're having to pay time and a half after 40 hours. And for a company that likes minimum wage, time and a half is not what they want.
