Despite the states alot of towns/provinces outside of the US have very strict signage laws.

And on top of that.... Im sure that building has some historical factor to prevent outside signage.

The McDonalds in the town next to me was only allowed one "golden arch" on the main sign.... they had to remove them off the garbage cans... window coverings.... parking lot entrance signs. Even the drive thru board didnt have any trademark red or yellow.
